TASTE opened its original Fairfax location in 2014 as an eat-in or take-away full-service bakery and café bringing you much more than food. Our mission is to provide a place to gather, learn, and play in the kitchen while enjoying a bounty of nutritious, handcrafted, and delicious food choices. TASTE offers breakfast, lunch, meals to go, healthy snacks, special pop-up dinner nights, assorted pastries, freshly baked breads, fresh juices and more. Our local food artisan partners provide organic, seasonal, fresh ingredients direct from their farms, which we prepare at TASTE to be enjoyed at our table…or yours. We offer monthly cooking classes, special dinner-to-go nights, catering services, artisan demos and lectures, and signature TASTE retail items and specialty products in store and online. We opened our second location in San Rafael in August 2016.

His longtime vision has been to build his own retail food business where he can be of direct service to his community. Together, in life and in business, Rochelle and Lorenzo’s collective dream is coming true at TASTE.
Jerry Navas, Executive Pastry Chef
Jerry uses his love of culture, architecture, art, fashion, and mixology as inspiration for exploring and developing new pastries for Taste Kitchen & Table. Following his European travels, he worked in the U.S. under the alumni of Christophe Michalak and Pierre Hermé where he experimented with and mastered new techniques and developed his personal style. Along the way, he encountered the Japanese practice of Kaizen, or the constant state of improvement. He says that "...it inspired me to continue to pursue my goal of developing new ways of creating for the purpose of making things efficient and most importantly, tasty."
